Measure F vs. Measure L

In 2005, voters in Pittsburg and Antioch approved Urban Limit Lines for their two cities.   The people of Antioch approved Measure K by a 59.7%% to 40.3% margin.  This action allowed for the expansion of Antioch to include Roddy Ranch and brought Antioch all the way to Deer Valley Road at Balfour.

At the same time, Brentwood’s votes rejected Measure L.  Had it passed, Measure L would have established Brentwood’s own Urban Limit Line.   By the narrow margin of 50.8% to 49.2%, people in Brentwood expressed their dissatisfaction with some of the elements of Measure L and demanded better.

This year, leaders in Brentwood brought forward Measure F in an attempt to respond to the concerns that voters had with 2005’s Measure L.  A comparison of the two measures demonstrates that these leaders have listened:
